postage time to Spain ?

I find mail takes a week to get here. That's if it does arrive - a few things have gone missing.

Spain can be an issue, I have often had things take two weeks to arrive. The eBay delivery estimates are a joke.

I live in spain. I'd say 7 days on average. It's not too shabby a service at all. Te quiero Correos!!

I have just been contacted by a buyer in Spain who has confirmed that his item has just been received after 60 days !!!!

I have already refunded, and am just glad he sent me a message and didn't open a case

Maybe it is time to block Spain ?

I know it is a country that quite a few sellers do block and I find it a very slow country for postage. My friends that live there though use a mailbox system as the postmen do not deliver to all addresses, only to the central office.

So although I send it to her real address, it actually diverts to a box in the local office that only opens a few hours a day and not every day at that!

Just to update - the item arrived yesterday (12th), 9 working days after posting. EBay's estimate was to arrive by 5th-9th Feb, i.e 5-6 working days after postage

Please don't - it's already hard to find sellers who post here! Most things do arrive, and within a reasonable time. It's just not the fastest service.

The problem is that whilst buyers continue to open cases on us merely to enquire when their item is to arrive- we cannot risk shipping to slow countries. I have Russia blocked, and will continue to block it for this very reason- lovely buyers, lots of money to spend, but the slow postage endangers my seller dashboard.

I had to block the US at Christmas and only unblocked them towards the end of January due to the number of people expecting their items within the unrealistic ebay estimates. If I get nore than 2 emails asking about items, from the same country in a short period enquring about their items - I automatically block that country for a while until it settles down.

I'm afraid I have blocked Spain because 3 out of 5 buyers I sent to claimed non-receipt. I just can't afford the defects. Sorry
