All i can see is Scan would have order a batch load of goods that had an advertised offer, then did not sell all of these before the offer ended. The have not mislead you, they were not the ones who run the offer and all they have done is not sold all units before the offer ends.
Take a look around most supermarkets and you will see products with expired offers/promotions
