Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Evening all

I'm glad I've started working reduced hours, I didn't get in until 7 this evening, lol.

What with taking DGD to gym club & then on to the Dr's, phew. I had an animated discussion with the nurse, as I've only lost 1lb & she expected more, but tbh, her recommended diet of 'no salt, no sugar, no fat & no carbs' isn't the easiest to follow.

Tomorrow I'm going straight to DD's when I leave work to look after a 4 month old & an 18 month old so DD can go to the 4 year olds' Teddy Bears picnic.

Tru & Kezlou, thanks for asking I'm fine.

    Time I had a cuppa.

    Hugs Hester

    Evening all,

Cold here today but no frost, so not very uncomfortable.

Bought piece of stuffed shoulder pork which we had today for dinner with butternut squash, parsnip, baked potato, bok choi and baked apple, was lovely. Also bought shoulder of lamb, they cut them differently here to in the UK, much smaller, will be lucky to get a couple of sandwiches and a dinner for both of us, but I love lamb, will have it with turnip (swede) and mash, really enjoying the Golden Wonder potatoes we are eating at the moment.

Sat down to fill in my passport renewal form, when I got to the bit where you fill in last passport number went straight to get my passport where it lives.....except it wasnt there! Have looked in all the obvious places I could have left it, no luck.We were last out of the country last May, so its obviously in some new " safe place", just need to find it! Not planning on going anywhere soon but need the security of being able to go at a moments notice.......I might win a holiday even though I never enter competitions!

Am very impressed with how busy you all are, I am only slowly getting back to doing things as for the last year I have been depending on OH to cook and carry, I also need to start going for walks to improve my fitness.

Hugs to all in need of one or who would like one, thank you all for being my friends
