  • Good Morning everyone, I'm waiting for the boys to come home and take me to the station and then I'm off to do my second babysitting for Zebra. He's a bit poorly with a temperature and not a happy lad but that can change from morning to evening so I'll see how he is when I arrive. Hope to be back home on Wednesday evening so I'll catch up on Thursday, stay safe, Lyn xxx.

  • Morning,

Bright and sunny here. WM is on. I am in quite a bit of pain at the moment. I somehow hurt my neck, I've no idea how but noticed it was hurting a little on Saturday and it woke me up in the early hours of Sunday. It was so painful and I couldn't move my head at all. Sat all day in front of the tv resting it (what a waste of a day). I can move it more today and managed to drive to work first thing. Back home now and having a sit down :)
    Leftover squash soup for lunch.
    Have a good day all.
  • Morning, bad night thanks to OH and his palpitation, he slept fine, me? forget it!! Have only just come down stairs, brekkie in bed and read for a bit. Its sheet change day and OH is still in bed, so they will have to go on the airer cannot see them getting dry outside even though the sun is shining.

Lamb yesterday was delicious, egg and wedges tonight, will have some more of the lamb with salad tomorrow.

    Morning all,

Well ive just said goodbye to hubby. He's working away till I don't know when. He's doing the job on a price and its a fairly big job so I don't know when i'll be seeing him next. Stands to reason the quicker he gets through it the better but he's not Superman and he is 51. He's turned down so many offers of work lately and now regretting taking on this one without seeing it first.

Youngest at work, wont be home till late so ive got the house to myself. I really need to get stuck into the housework as ive let standards slip for close on a month.

Talking about Youngest, we are not on good terms at the moment. I wont say we aint talking because we are but ive chucked away a few pairs of his pants because they have holes in and I refuse to sew them up when he can now afford to replace them. If he can afford to smoke (don't get me started on that) and get hammered on a weekend he can afford to pay £3 for a couple of packs of pants out of Primark Ive told him. I aint sewing rags! He refuses to sew them too and would rather wear them with holes in and seams coming undone.

I'd best get stuck in. One room at a time I think.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    What a trip...

Number one moan - the email from Y....l gave me the address of their depot but turns out that they vacated that site approx FOUR years ago!

Number two moan - the parcel was confirmed as 'held' at the depot for collection, which is why I went up to Oban to get it. After a search in the depot the agents rang the driver who had picked it up to deliver today. And it's not here yet.

End of moans. Got the fire lit, a fresh cup of tea in my hand and the washing machine chugging away.

    Almost happy days!

    Good afternoon everyone

Just popped back on to update. The group went swimmingly, I dutifully queued up, bought a 12 week countdown as I am committed to this and then the consultant/leader announced she was quitting SW and 'hoped' there would be someone to take over after they had been recruited and then trained. You've got to laugh. Anyway, I decided I'm doing this for me, there are other groups nearer to my home but I chose that one because I liked the leader. Never mind, onward and downward :rotfl::rotfl:. I even managed to stagger up the hill afterwards and catch a bus home so I feel very proud of myself. Just got to steel myself to do it all over again next week :D. Thank you for all the well wishes, they are very much appreciated, take care xx
  • Evening everyone.
Just popping in to let you know thanks to my boss (his idea not mine) i have just had the most wonderful pizza.
A pannini roll cut in half, with sweet pot and butternut squash spread over it topped with chicken (leftover from yesterdays roast) mushrooms and cheese. Defiantly a winner.
In the words of my DGD "TADA"
    Bright Blessings xx

    Evening all.

Did such a lot in the house today so I'm looking forward to a restful evening...Either in front of the telly or on my PC. I'm spoiled for choice. I'm sure the novelty will wear off in a day or two.

What a shattering day, between cleaning the kitchen, chatting to health professionals and dealing with a mucus vomit filled child all day.

I love him to bits but its so hard getting anything done with him watching and questioning everything I do. He's on autism spectrum so becomes worried if things are not in they right place etc

We were going to have pheasent which mil gave us yesterday, but OH came in with a chippy meal. To be honest it was welcome. After such a dreadful weekend and having a black dog hanging about it made such a change.

Dumpling well done. Your braver than I am good luck.
Judi I'm like that with lil bro. He hasn't changed yet but the end is nigh.
    Hester hope your feeling okay

Right painkillers and cuppa time for me
