Evening Lovely people.
Ok I have two weeks worth of food in the cupboard/ freezer which for a singleton and occasional plus one is doable.:D
I still have a lot of showergel shampoo's / toiletries so I have a lovely heart shaped big hat box and friend who is not working so thought that could be an extra xmas thing - good to chuck all in there and let her have a root throughits that or put it on ebay as there are some good makes in there.
333 capsule wardrobe in place- well done me:D:D
I tried on evening dress and shoes for posh work do - need a monochrome clutch bag and pashmina thingy that's that outfit doneso if I scour ebay I could probably do that for £20 so I wont have to panic buy. Might need to lose an inch or not put on any more inches else the zip wont zip up
Didn't tackle the bra drawer will leave that for another day.
Clothes under the bed in a big suitcase so hope that will be going to SIL if it doesn't get used in the next month.
Still need to work on getting what I call investment clothes but have the coat, boots, jeans and bag so happy.
I do really fancy a Aaron Jumper as it's classic - so maybe that is something plus one can get me for xmas?
I have found about £75 worth of ebay stuff but didn't get it listed tonight.

Very impressed with your wardrobe sorting Sam. I'm hoping to 'weed' mine as I move and get a bit more organised after that.

Good to hear you're ok. I love the sound of investment clothing. Pre debt days I bought a pair of boots about 7 years ago. They were just under £50 and I still have and love them. And I've got my new coat too.
The NSD month is a challenge too far for me but it sounds a good idea and will follow on that journey if you take it up.
Rosa - UHT yuck!! lol.

I agree Boots when you find the right pair are always a good investment.
I've been reading up on saving and thinking where do those pennies go
I'm rubbish at keeping a spending diary so I thought 1 spend day and 6 NSD might be easier for me to track as well.

I bought a hideously expensive pair of boots while still in debt, you've just reminded me of them as I confessed to them on here! But they're still going and I still get compliments on them. They will hopefully last another few years if I don't wear them as my 'main' winter pair.
It's much better for the environment to buy one thing you love than many disposable ones, too.

Hello Sam,
With Christmas gifts, from some people I tend to ask for "yearly saving" type of gifts. You know, the things you always need at some point through the year.
If you wanted to be cheeky enough you could get people to buy you something that you know would make a great birthday gift for another person who is in no way connected to the original gift giver. That way you're not just handing it straight over to charity and it's still saving you money throughout the year.
1 spend day a week sounds amazing. I'm a binger so that wouldn't work for me as I'd spend nothing for 6 days and then spending £2,000 on that one day!!!
