Woah Sam, if you are debt free at the end of January, and you started this diary in February of this year, have you actually realised how much money you've managed to put to other things this year? If you did just half that next year you'd have a fantastic emergency budget!

Maybe one evening when you're feeling a bit demotivated and skint you should read over all of your diary again and really let it sink in how much money you can potentially put aside for things you really want for the future.

I'm so impressed and happy for you! It's completely awesome! MTxx
  • Yay for bubble bath :) I am seriously considering making sure I have a hotel trip once a month just because I want to soak! (Next year hopefully I will have a house with a bath!)

You're doing really well, Sam. Maybe set yourself some little milestones so you can celebrate your progress?

  • Just calculated my debts again due to pending interest :)

    I currently owe very 1160
    BCard 912.55
    Capital one 107.81
    Loan 610.00

£2790.36 - so £2.64 of overpayments so far this month ..Every little helps...been round my place collecting any spare coins and going to eat from the cupboards as much as possible.

Work stressful as always ..so no let up there - just always so much to do.
My new bed frame should arrive this week ..fingers crossed so not really got the energy to take the old one apart - but getting the new one should inspire me to take apart the old one .

Managed to pick up lots and lots of reduced chocolate for 20p with DEC 23 expiry date so bit of a bargain there.

18/19 days until pay day ... and hoping to be as stingy as possible so that I can pay some debts down with the remainder .

3 days later and I am poorly again ..I need to look into looking after me.

Ok in the spirit of being my own best friend I need to

Get New BED - Done :)

    Get another kettle

    Be more positive

Fleabay goods or Phone a charity or Get plus one to take all my collated stuff to the CS where it can do some good - Rather than taking up a massive space in my bedroom.

Start using up all my stocks - and maybe stop buying food and toiletries and cleaning products - to be fair I've roughly added up what is my cupboards and its about £80.00

Need to top up the gas and electric as winter looming.

:( oh Sam yes you do

Ok in the spirit of being my own best friend I need to

Get New BED - Done :)

[STRIKE]Get another kettle [/STRIKE] Get plus one to bring you kettle or order one online

[STRIKE]Fleabay goods or [/STRIKE]Phone a charity or Get plus one to take all my collated stuff to the CS where it can do some good - Rather than taking up a massive space in my bedroom.
I suggest option 2 or 3 - you need space and happiness more than money now.

[STRIKE]Be more positive[/STRIKE] Do more fun stuff. Please. Real positive is when you feel good, not when you're trying to make yourself feel something.

I suggest you send the Ebay pile to charity, buy something nice for your bedroom - like the snuggly PJs mentioned earlier - and invite PlusOne round to celebrate your newly gorgeous room for a lazy winter weekend :D

Sorry to hear you've been struck down again Sam, but I have to completely agree with Rosa. Everything she's said is so true. Especially the lazy time with Plus One!

I hope by the time you get to read this you're already feeling much better with the snuggly PJ's and plus one by your side taking care of you.
