  • Happy weekend! Sounds like a busy one but hopefully you've got weather as perfect as we have for your BBQ!
  • Ok this time last month my debt inc closed business debt was £6500. I was so low tonight due to forgetting to pay one of my cards and then being hit by charges :( Not sure how that happened.... managed to get this down by £1200 which is actually a massive amount of money.

    Hello gorgeous girl,

Sorry to hear about you forgetting a card and paying charges. I've been there, but it makes you feel so rubbish that I think it helps you stay on top of it in the future.

How are things with you this week? Are you having a nice week?

You're doing great Sam - huge strides. Little backwards wobbles don't matter when the grand scale is forwards. And I agree with MT - the first time you get charges and get really cross about it means it is usually also the last!

    How's your week going?

Hi MT - Always busy but bet you are too? Hope your weekend is as amazing as you are ....just popped in to catch up on diaries.

Rosa - I miss those on loan moggy cuddles - I really hope you are good and the vision is coming along nicely :)

Looking at my debt when I started I am back to square one

I've paid off so much in five months that I would love to fall off the wagon.

Must remember the dentist this month but going to try to raise the money for this from Sales. ;)

About £50 made in sales from fleabay so far in July so not a bad effort . Have around £40 in the kitty for this weekend :):) Double my usual daily amount I know I should really pay down a debt but feels nice to have a little extra to just go mad with..lol :)

Pretty much now run out of stuff to sell...yep honestly!! 6 months worth gone... need to charity a few bits tomorrow but I have pretty much totally clutter free except paperwork and work paperwork :)

This week "Plus one" treated me to some undies and some shoes so happy with that ... not even my idea so plus one is officially too good to be true!!!.....perhaps the key to paying of my debts is to rent out plus one ....;)

*scoops up small moggy and passes her to Sam* Cuddle cat will be delighted to visit you again - she's just been yowling at me because I'm sitting in the kitchen typing instead of in bed where she can lie on my arms and cause typos :rotfl: Should probably warn you that she's shedding madly at the minute... it's like having a small cloud of hair in the house, she only has to walk over the duvet and there's a trail of fur left behind!

Do keep a bit extra and give yourself a treat - much better to give yourself a reward as you go along so you can feel the process getting somewhere, then there's less temptation for mad blowouts.

And re square one, it isn't really, it's square A Lot, because now you've freed yourself from all those extra hours, you know paying it down can be done, and also you are way further forward than you would have been if the same had happened without you paying off the first lot! So do remember to celebrate what you've achieved, don't let it be overlaid with stuff that came after.

Hurrah for Plus One, though I think he's worth you hanging onto rather than renting out :D
