Thomas cook flights sept 2014

Our flight from Larnaca Cyprus to Cardiff on the 21.9.14 was delayed 16hours, sent claim form to thomas cook who have now rejected the claim due to extraordinary circumstances caused by a 'bird strike'. I have found out that the same flight on the 28.9.14 also had 16hr delay caused by "bird strike", I have complained again to Thomas Cook but still declining case.... any ideas anyone else had this problem
