Credit card deals ending HELP!

Hi!
A brief history- we had a pot of money in our mortgage account to build extension- one week before we were about to draw on the money to pay builder we received a letter telling us the funds had been removed due to over lending. We then had to put costs on loans and cards. Loans finishing over the next few months but credit cards which were 0% now finishing all at once. Can't shift onto other card as poor rating. We have never missed payment can only assume it is our overall borrowing being to great?? Feels like it's spiralling - am going a try and haggle rates down. Anyone have any tips? Thanks

Your loan is finishing and you have never missed payments. Why not a new loan then?
  • Thanks for your post.
I have tried to get a new loan but we get refused the same with getting another 0% credit card. I have gone through our credit report many times and can only put a poor score down to large borrowing and or many open loans/cards? The only thing I can think to do is try and lower the credit card APR?
    Thanks

Probably a combo of this and also a lot of applications for credit products within a short space of time as to why you are being declined.

Your best bet is as you stated to try and negotiate a lower APR for the time being and wait until your loan payments have finished and make sure they show as settled on your credit files before applying for anything else.

What is your debt to credit ratio?

Hopefully the more you pay on your cards, your card provider(s) may offer you a 0% balance transfer offer.

Not sure what our credit / debt ratio is. Obviously I know how much we owe but can't seem source info on what our total credit would be? Do you know how I could find that out?

Your total credit is all your limits, or available credit, added together.
