Please can u recommend great hotels in Mexico

Mexico is a huge country and has many tourist areas, each offering something different to the other.

I kinda agree, but my guess is they mean the stretch from cancun to tullum.

Op cancun is huge & build up, like benidorm in the carribean!
Playa del Carmen is halfway to tullum, its your stereotypical beach resort. Great beach.
Tullum is the end (ish), nice ruins, nice beach at akumal.

Op, a word of warning, if you like to use the local bus, I do.
The highway stretches from cancun to tullum,some parts its very close to the sea & you can walk from your hotel to the highway easily.
Other parts its a long walk with jungle either side & not really practical to walk to the highway, the excellence & one of the dreams beside it (if I remember rightly).

I liked Playa Del Carmen, good places to go away from your hotel if you want a change.
