Council Tax services

No chance. You can't not pay a tax because you don't like or use the services the government gives. Tax is not a system which claims to pay you back the amount you put in!
And for the other poster, you can't get a refund for the army just because you don't support a war! With that logic everybody would say they don't support anything. If you live in a country you get to vote and then you live by the tax policy of the country, no matter how much you disagree.0 -

Perhaps you could ask whether your taxes will cover the cost of having an irony transplant, as clearly yours is missing.0 -
You do use the police and council services
If you subject to a burglary who comes to investigate.
If you were mugged in the street who deals with that.
If you drive on the local roads then you are using streetlights, the road itself. Same as when you have a delivery, the driver is using those things.
You are paying your share of education, adult care, etc.
Sorry but you do use the full range of council services.0 -
Thank's all. My question has been answered. I can stop wondering whether I am paying too much now. Much appreciated.0
