    Have you tried applying for the Creation card? You should get a decent limit to save faffing about with the low limit Clarity card.

    Thanks and if anything, like in the first response to that thread, two cards will give better flexibility.

    My Halifax Clarity Card arrived and is set up. £600 limit. I see that the credit is reviewed after 6 months use, I want to go into the bank to request an increase, is that worth doing? I've made a purchase on amazon.es, and €400.29 cost £296.35. =1.3507. Post Office offer around 1.32.

    Savings are nice when you increase;

    £5000 * 1.3507 €6753.50 = Halifax Clarity
    £5000 * 1.3200 = €6600.00 = Post Office

    I set up my account for full monthly direct debit payments - but in the paper work (and per my understanding) I should be able to make payments at any time onto the account to recover the credit - how do I do that?
  • Update; I've now set up the clarity card as a payee on my Natwest Debit card. Can use the natwest online banking app to quickly recover the credit limit for transactions.

    I've added a planned trip to both my Debit (natwest) and credit (halifax clarity) cards - to let the bank know I'm overseas.

    So I guess that's all sorted and paying off the clarity should be straight forward.

    My brother, who I am going with has now also applied for the Clarity card and was quoted £1000 limit, so if that goes through all ok we should be in a good position.
