A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Aww shucks, I can't believe you lovely people remember l'il old me!

    In a very small nutshell:

    - moved to wonderful house, but had a gap between our sale completing and moving into new place, during which we lived with family (8 weeks :eek:)

    - Had a huge issue with work and, sadly, a resultant breakdown. Realised I had been carrying far too much on my shoulders for too long and letting people take advantage of me. In a much much better place now - no longer working; instead I am officially a homemaker :D (well, I still do a bit of work for DH business)

    - DD at school and DS at pre-school :)

The new house is much nicer, in a better location for us and, gladly, hasn't resulted in a bigger mortgage. Finances are far tighter than they used to be, but I wouldn't have it any other way - being at home and caring for my brood is much more important to me :):):):)

If we want to clear the mortgage before we are 40 we need to overpay £750PCM. Which is a heckuva lot of money. However, I am fully committed to making each penny do the work of three and making this happen. DH is very very busy at work, which is great, but also means he is away a lot. His job is so physically demanding I can't see him managing to do it much past 40 (he's been doing it since he was 16 so is already physically a little wrecked!)

So I am seeing it as my job to pay down this dratted mortgage as fast as I can :):)

Please do pop on and keep me company if you can, it's goooood to be back :):) xx
