New Iphone 6 - insurance dilemma
After a year using a Samsung which drove me absolutely nuts and made me unable to sort out my day to day tasks I finally decided to invest in an Iphone 6. This is the first Iphone I've ever had.
I am now considering whether to insure - I bought the phone through Giff Gaff and I will be paying for it in installments for a year - so of course I want to make sure the phone has a long life.
I only lost 1 phone before (a cheap one) and never broken a smartphone (although I do drop them sometimes), and I have bought a screen saver and phone case etc to try and protect it.
I know insurances are tricky as they exclude so many things. Is it worth me insuring my Iphone in your opinion?

It usually cost a few £ to add it to your house insurance. Which is what I do with my phones if they're expensive enough.
Apple care is also great as it covers accidental damage.
So usually I get Apple care and put the phone on my house insurance or bank accounts can also offer insurance so check if your account does so.Sigless0 -
I have my iPhone 6 insured through my bank account. I've never lost or broken my phones in the 16 or so years I've owned one but I just know Sod's law if I don't insure it I'll break or lose it!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

thanks both. I don't own a house, and my bank account doesn't include phone insurance...I'm still thinking about it. I mean it's not a lot of money, I should probably just do it. If you have contents insurance you could add it to that. Maybe look into a bank account that offers it. They usually have a few perks and maybe they will also be of benefit and not just the phone insurance part.
I'd get apple care as it covers faults and accidental damage and a third party to cover loss.
I realise a third party will also cover accidental damage but if they use anyone but Apple for repairs you will void your warranty and then should the phone develop a fault you're stuffed and will have to once again claim on the insurance and pay the excess as opposed to Apple fixing it for free.
To be honest though, were it me and I didn't have house insurance I'd just get Apple care to cover myself for accidental damage.Sigless0
