New phone for an oldie

Morning all,
I bought the Motorola G4G from Tesco online. My first online purchase! That was an absolutely easy peasy process. I ordered online, picked up from my local store next day, went to a local newsagent and bought got a Three SIM card plus £10 credit. I brought the phone home and couldn't figure out which slot the sim needed to go in as it has 2 SIM card slots so lots of memory.
The lovely chap next door got me up and running and showed me the basics of phoning and texting. I have played with it for a couple of weeks, shown hubby what to do to make calls and told him in no uncertain terms that he must remember to press the red phone at the bottom to end the call every time. My cousin did not do this and has exceeded her contracts allowance. Her quick phone call to her daughter carried on for 1 hour 56 minutes before it finally terminated automatically. Does anyone know if this is really what can happen even if the person at the other end of the call ends it correctly? Seems a bit weird to me. I would have thought the call was ended if either of you cut it off correctly.
So we are really pleased with the phone and the Three sim plan is so cheap. I am paying 12p per min for both calls and texts with my old Nokia on Orange Raccoon plan. That is not much in the scheme of how little we use our phone but 3p per minute means that I am not ending a call hurriedly to save my credit.
The camera is easy to use and the photos look great. I have yet to download them to my laptop where I will be able to get them larger and then I can see how good a 5 mp camera is.
I did buy a little pointy pen from the pound shop as the keypad in portrait are very small, in landscape they are a bit bigger but the pen makes texting so much easier and it has a little gadget to fit into the earphone socket of the phone so it stays with the phone.
I hope this is helpful to anyone wanting an easy to use new phone. I know we will never use it to its full potential but at least we do look like we are living in the modern world when we get out our swanky new phone.
Thanks for all the advice you guys gave me on here which helped me to come to my decision.0
