When I built my first house the patio windows were built too far towards the outside. The result was, that when there was heavy rain driven by strong winds, the rain penetrated to the inside of the outer skin of bricks. It then ran down onto the top of the patio door frames and soaked the floor near the windows. I had to remove the frames and set them further back so that the Catnic lintel could do its job and drain the water to the outside and not to the top of the door frame. Turned out to be an expensive mistake. My fault as much as the builder's.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
