Civil Court Money Claims Centre - Salford. Phew.

in Credit cards
Has anybody had any dealings with this Centre - based in Salford? I sent in my claim about seven weeks ago and it's been one problem after another - and still no sign of an ending. You can only contact a call centre in Loughborough. When you do get through, it's not very good.
I feel like giving up now.

A claim for what exactly? Plus are you making one or defending one?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I'm making claim about money somebody owes me. They say that all claims will be processed in ten working days. Please!0

What does this have to do with credit cards?
One of the more appropriate fora might be a better place for this.0 -
The small claims online is based at Northampton - me thinks you could be a victim of a scam.0

So what happens when you do speak to someone and what problems have you experienced? We can't answer if you keep us completely in the dark.0

It is the centre in Salford that I sent my claim into. It takes far longer than 10 days to process - I'm at 6 weeks already now. The only telephone contact they give you for the data centre that's based in Loughborough. There's very limited info that they can give you. It's just somewhat frustrating - not what I expected.0

The Court "service" is a joke, and I say that as someone who is "in the business". Even "moneyclaim online" is a joke - the data is scooped up from the website and pushed through a bulk processing system that dates back to punched cards (yep really - that's why you have a bizarre line/character limit on the "brief details of claim").
Court staff don't see themselves as there to help. Documents frequently get lost or mishandled. They are not accountable for their mistakes because the work of the courts is usually on the clock of one party or the other. And to be fair, many "punters" who can't/won't afford to use lawyers see the courts as somehow responsible for getting them justice - which to them means helping them fight their battle.
Rant over.
You sent in the claim form? Did you send in the fee? Have you had anything back by post at all? Have the defendants been in touch at all? Has your payment cleared?
This is the wrong forum - perhaps some kind soul could work out where it should go. Alternatively try googling "legal beagles" and post there.0 -
Yes, I know it should have gone in the Rant forum, sorry.
Yes, I've sent in my claim form and cheque - still not cashed. Heard nothing.
It all needs to go back to the old system of having individual courts handling the claims. There are so many complaints about the CCMCC - with the tax payer funding its whole set-up, yet nothing ever gets done about it.
I was just trying to find out about other people's experiences.0
