Banks don't give advice, they sell products, of course they will try to offer you a loan.
With missed payments on your file however, it is unlikely you would be considered a low risk, even if you do have all those £100 a week savings sitting there.

Have you been saving the £100 ? If not you are really going to struggle to pay back any loan.

Please don't start your married life by going into debt.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Is it a good idea to get a couple of 0% ccds then pay them off as soon as possible?
  • Glen all we are trying to do is stop you committing to something you can't afford.

I think you are blinded by the thought of the wedding and maybe keeping up with the Joneses.

Sit and go through the 'what ifs' Will it be worth putting yourself in a potential financial mess just for one day?
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

    This^

There's a lot of people get into a financial mess because they just assume that their life is never going to change. Until you have a saved a rainy day fund to cover several months of outgoings plus emergency house/car repairs/replacement, it isn't wise to take on more debt.

I understand that. I have been there and got the t shirt in a past marriage.we are not having a big wedding just want a nice one what we can pay off comfortablely over the next few years.we have a house no rent or mortgage.no loans no credit cards.so what we borrow will be our only debt.

Did you know that taking a big loan for a wedding dramatically increases the chances that the marriage will fail. 100% fact.

Dont borrow from your future for 1 day, and make that same future more risky!!
  • But Glen as I said what happens if the roof leaks, the car fails it's MOT, the washer packs up and you have a reduction in wages all in the same month?

You can't see into the future, if you overstretch yourself and the SHTF you have nothing in reserve.

Please be very sure you think through everything and especially if you are offered a loan be sure you can pay it back.
