Your score is useless, its about as useless as a chocolate teapot. Have you tried your own bank ?

Its a lot for a wedding.

Any ideas? Yes don't spend so much on the wedding.

You don't need £7500 you want £7500 there is a difference.

£7500 isn't that much. Could you both sign up for an interest free credit card and put a lot of the spending on those? Or just use them for your normal spending and put your pay into the wedding fund.

A big wedding can easily reach £20k with just the basic do in a nice venue with lots of guests and a honeymoon so £7500 is fairly modest. Ignore the naysayers who will tell you to go to the register office and spend 10p on your dress. If you can comfortably afford it ad are comfortable with the cost, then have the wedding you want.

If they could afford it they would have saved the money and not even thought about getting a loan.

Spending £20000 on a wedding unless you have the cash up front is in my eyes obscene and stupid.

I have been married before but still want my finance to have the best day of her life.the venue is a package all in for 3500 which is a good price.we have the dress suits cars and honeymoon.we have no debt whatsoever so a loan for 7500 is nothing.we have no mortgage can we get a loan on the house?
  • Don't even think about securing debt on your house, you never know what the future will bring and if you do that and find you can't repay it then you can end up with a charging order against the house or in the worse scenario you will have to sell the house.

Please don't fall for the idea that the more money you spend on a wedding the better day it will be, that is something peddled by TV programmes and magazines.

And that is of course proportional to the amount you spend.

But yes, you probably could get a mortgage though you might struggle to get one that small.
