Sat/Sun 7th/8th Feb- What Small DFW-Style Things Will You Be Doing This Weekend?

Hi all,
Nothing much from me today, but thought I'd still post as it does keep me focussed on sensible money saving behaviour:
*Had a lovely snowdrop walk at a nearby NT house. We are members so nothing to pay today. We did buy a small coffee each, but took a snack with us to avoid being tempted by cakes. As we went nice & early, we were back home for lunch, so temptation avoided again.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch & breakfast.
*Loaded washer for cheap overnight laundry.
*De-cluttered today's items. 8th Feb, so 8 things had to go today.
*Sold an eBay item :-)
*Remind myself how to use our scanner. I have promised people some old family photos & it's going to be free to send them electronically, rather than copy them & post, which was my original plan.
*Read energy meters & update spreadsheets.
*Last day of our free Amazon Prime trial, so will be using that, knitting & reading.
Have a peaceful Sunday, all. New start tomorrow for anyone who hasn't kept their hand on their pence this week.

Good Afternoon!!
Nothing much happening in my part of the world today. But the Sun's out, so we've got that going for us.- Taking my own food to work for dinner, left overs from last nights meal.
- Washing on the airer, and in the garden to take advantage of the milder weather
- OH has been through the boys room and collected half a bin bag of bits for charity
- I'm leaving early for work so I have time to grab a bit of shopping, and hopefully get a few bargains in the clearance section
- Heat off
- Lights off
- Lunch was from our stores, with some left over for my lunch tomorrow

Afternoon all
Lovely day today, sunny but a cold wind. Managed to get out in the garden and attack my rampaging climbing rose with the secateurs and did a bit of clearing up. OH paved a small messy area at the bottom of the garden next to his workshop and the compost bins. It was all weeds and builders rubble so unfortunately we couldn't have it as a border. Still, I now have a nice paved area to stand pots on for a container garden to supplement the raised beds, so I won't need to have so many on the patio
Other than that:
Chickens laid 2 eggs
Made fishcakes with the trout I cooked yesterday
Load of washing done, which I will put on the airer in a minute. I didn't put it out as we were working in the garden for most of the day and it would get in the way. Our garden is only small
Loaf in breadmaker smelling lovely
Today's freecycler turned up when he said he was going toI have rehomed a bike which needed an overhaul and new tyres, and realistically I wasn't going to do it up and ride it
Now someone else can, and I have freed up space in the garage
Now waiting for the Ocado man to come with the groceries
Getting chilly in here now, and OH has just lit the wood burner.
Happy Sunday everyone0 -
Hi all!
Sorry I haven't posted this weekend! I have been thinking about you all!
Yesterday I did:
* checked banks
* made list of cards to get whilst in town from the card factory
* finished meal plan
* finished shopping list
* stuck almost to list
* parked in asda and walk into town
* made list of bits to get in asda to get parking back
* paid money into bank
* used shopitize, checkout smart etc
* meals from stores
Then we ended up having friends round so didn't do much else!
Today I have:
* checked banks
* all loads of washing on 30 degree quick wash
* hung towels on line to part dry - finishing some off on heated towel rail
* made two beany cottage pies for freezer
* mum waxed my legs - also "wombled" two tins of beans, some macaroni and oven cleaner from mums cupboards!
* submitted metre readings - mum calculated cost and I'm not happy as spent more than dd amount. Had a chat with oh to make sure he watches what he's using eg turning lights off
* got lots of housework done
* meals from stores
I may dye my hair tonight, will definitely wash it, and let it dry naturally.

Hi don't usually venture into this forum anymore but have you googled to see if it's possible to mend you iPad screen yourself. My daughter replaced her laptop screen herself and it wasn't too difficult. She ordered a new one from eBay and followed instructions on a YouTube video I think.
Sorry just seen others have mentioned it. xHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
