Neighbour complains about minor leak from washing machine.

But I only wash my clothes every 7-10 days and issue is only been happening for just under 2 months plus he says it floods his kitchen because it filled up a cereal bowl(which is a lot in one way but not quite a flood)
To be fair I am not sure if its a problem with the pipes or machines, but it was working fine till 2 weeks before christmas then stopped draining so I had to manually drain which meant I either pulled machine out and lifed it above a bucket then when bucket was almost full put pump cover back on then poured water down sink, mopped up the slight mess that took a few seconds then repeated process just once more.
I have taken the pump off myself and found no blockages apart from a minor bit of grit, removed every pipe by hand and reattached with the proper clips(so there is no flood) and when I do have a little spill when closing filter I mop it up instantly and it dries within minutes.
The other thing I think it could be is that when mop bucket is full I pour it down sink so maybe thats whats flooding despite me finding no blockages in the actual pipe under sink, my other one is water pressure since the toilet takes ages to fill i.e 30-45 minutes, shower feels cold at maximum low/mid setting only gets warm on high and water is a little chalky in taps.
Sorry if this is a long post just want to find best way to deal with it, neighbour expects me to not use machine at all and landlord refused to repair it before so either the LL will just complain to me and still do nothing or expect me to never use machine but if so LL has a easy excuse since it was here when I moved in but not on inventory so I would have to pay to get it removed I guess.

Where is this 'flood' in the neighbour's house ?0
-
In his kitchen he says he puts a cereal bowl where it drips and it fills up(but no more than a cereal bowl both times he complained)0
-
how can a pipe in your kitchen cause a drip in his? Can you be more specific?0
-
When you say 'neighbour' are you by any chance in a flat? And is the neighbour in question below you?0

It's like drawing teeth.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Not the pipe itself I assume but any leak would go through the floorboards, it happened to me once from my upstairs neighbour but she never found out the cause of that either, the walls had a thin drizzle of water and floor was damp like after you mop up or when you come out of shower I assume its the same for him but even that is probably a exaggeration since I only get a few drips myself unless its the pipe leaking somewhere.0 -
Right, so you are above your neighbour then. You need to get this sorted, immediately. It is not acceptable to flood your neighbour's property, even if it is 'only' once a week. You need to get the washing machine repaired or a plumber to sort the issue out, whichever it is. As it's a rented property then sort this rough your landlord.0

The point is trying to work out if its a flood or he is overrreacting, I do not know the size of cereal bowl he uses as even a large cereal bowl is a small amount of water, or if its just a trickle because if I just spill a drizzle of water out of machine when emptying it by hand that shouldnt flood my neighbour unless its the pipes themselves, and since the floorboards should potentially absorb the water more than going straight through something isnt right.
He told me he is fed up with it happening but this is only second time it has happened, it doesnt add up that a trickle of water gives him a flood also that when he says flood the amount he says is very little.
Plus the way he said it was that it happened all the time, but if I go 7-10 days on average without using machine and he says I do it all the time it would hint at a problem with the pipes.0 -

No. The point is to accept that you are causing an amount of water to leak into the flat below... small amount or not the exact amount of water you should be allowing to leak into the flat below is NONE! It is up to you/your landlord to sort out.0 -
Oh, a cereal bowl? I thought it was a pudding bowl...
Seriously though, get your washing machine fixed. It doesn't matter if it's only a shot glass full, it needs sorting.0
