Just heard contactless payment limit has been raised form £20 to £30. Might not seem like a lot but it's certainly going to be useful.
Seeing as it's the weekend and MSE is shut, this will do as the news article until Monday morning haha.

Down boy, not until September: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-31164806. So plenty of time for people to claim your - now undisputable - crown for having seen it first.
Have thanked you anyway

I have only found a good use for it on the London underground, no need to carry an Oyster card and keep topping it up. Instead you just use your debit card to get through the barriers.
I did notice they let you use them in the pubs now which is sure the cause some problems when everyone is drunk.0 -
Another big change is that contactless will be turned on for all value transactions, allowing mobile devices to make contactless transactions of any value. (Cards will will still have to be inserted if its above £30)0

What does this mean? Can I pay with my phone and don't need a card at all then?0 -

I use contactless whenever I can. Groceries, lunch, etc. There will always be tin hats who proudly proclaim their avoidance. They are probably the folk that used to write cheques at Tesco. I'm looking forward to the wider NFC spread eg apple pay, cards are outdated.
I recently travelled to Australia and the limit there is 100 (about £50). I see through Wikipedia the limit is all over the place around the world, which is interesting.0 -

Its due to come here early this year. It already works here though if you have a US debit or credit card. I've used it with one of my US credit cards and it works like a treat.0
