Flowers to help sell property? If so what can I buy cheaply which won't kill my cats

That's not a cat, that's a gremlin.
Fake flowers will do fine, as will some of those dried twig things - have a look on ebay or go to one of the pound shops. It's just an odd thing here or there to add a bit of colour to the pictures. A couple of quid will do the job.0 -

These will also get you featured on the 'Have a look at this!' thread - extra marketing.

Avoid lilies and you'll be fine. If you get a bunch that has a lily in it just remove the yellow powdery bits from in the lilies - that's the poisonous bit (to cats and fish). I love lilies and have 3 cats, so I deal with it regularly.
But as a poster above says, a few cushions or wall art will have a similar effect and last longer!
If they actually try and eat the flowers/leaves the whole plant can be toxic but yes by far the biggest risk is the powdery pollen0 -

Unfortunately being rescue cats they'll eat anything...0 -
Roses are safe with cats, I know because they are the only flowers I buy after checking on the Cats Protection website0

Twigs! Don't forget twigs in a vase. And be sure to bake some bread every time you have a viewing! And scatter cushions. How many sales have fallen through for the lack of scatter cushions? Don't forget to spray yourself with cinnamon; does the trick every time! Forget trying to sell your house through extolling the virtues of the property. Most of all, cover up the smell of cat wee.Been away for a while.0

I buy a couple of bunches - roses and tulips at the moment. Mr Ts seem to be the nicest and last quite a long time. I also have a few vases of artificial. I light a yankee candle an hour or so before viewings (but don't forget and leave it unattended and perhaps it's best not to if to you have feline friends).
Good luckI must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0 -
The current 'make-over' shows on telly seem to have a big bowl of one or two colourful fruits like lemons, limes, oranges, etc. Probably more useful to you then flowers as you can eat them before replacing them. However as others have said it's more important to get all the DIY jobs done that make the place look tatty or like the potential buyers will have to spend money on. Then if the place looks bland in pictures get a few colourful cushions, ornaments, wall prints, lamp shades, etc, and if you're very MSE you could borrow from friends temporarily.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
