3 of us took complaint right through after being brushed off by Thomas Cook Airlines wrongly saying delay was an extraordinary event, then unsuccessfully appealing. After being directed to CAA who could not handle the complaint because it was not from UK airport, "Air Passenger Rights EU Complaint Forms" were sent to the Greek authorities. They asked TCA for details and log sheets of problem. Thomas Cook finally agreed to cough up 400 Euros compensation per passenger confirmed by Greek authorities email 6/2/2015.
The 3 of us have been notified - if you were on the flight and don't also hear from Thomas Cook Airlines then contact them with details of the flight, your names and booking reference.
Never be put off by the airline brushing you off and the long path through the various authorities thereafter.
