TalkTalk sting in the tale

First of all - had a good year with all aspects of talktalk - including a BT line problem that they had to solve......BUT....when I signed up I thought it was the straight forward deal of £20.00 odd with the international phone deal...etc, however I did not read the small print properly because they say that if your BT exchange has not been 'converted' I would have to pay an extra £10.00 a month for the broadband until the exchange was 'sorted out'. When I asked when this would be I was told in 1 or 2months. That was a year ago, and still no sign of it changing. Anyone else been conned like this?

Hi, I'm not trying to dispute what you're saying but just curious. By the conversion I assume you mean LLU? I ask because I've never been charged anything extra and our exchange only went LLU in April 2007, but I was with TalkTalk since June 2006 and for broadband since August 2006.

Talk talk are probably awaiting when your local exchange will be LLU enabled.
Check www.samknows.com/broadband & see what LLU providers are at your local exchange.
If its still not showing up Talk Talk, then give them a call & ask to see if they have any dates when your local exchange will be enabled0
