Dimplex quantum experience?

Hi there,

We've been heating the downstairs of our house with a couple of panel convectors. Now I removed 2 creda storage heaters about 5 or 6 years ago but I'm now thinking it might be time to return to that style of heating. With the limited amount we run the current setup 17 degrees is a luxury.

The dining room has the 2 connection points so I'm thinking the biggest quantum for there (open plan dining/kitchen with a staircase to upstairs bedrooms) I know it takes around 23kwh overnight with an output of 1500w. Does this mean it would be like having 1.5 of our panel heaters on all the time?

Now I've also read you wouldn't place them in bedrooms. Is there a reason for this, apart from getting too hot in bed? I'm asking because we have a small house & the living room doubles as our bedroom. We have a Murphy bed (pulls down from against the wall, so it is housed in a cupboard) but obviously it's a normal room until 11 or so when we go to bed. The bed gets put away in the morning & we'd then want heat for the day. Does that make sense?

Can storage heater wiring be taken from the sockets (not put on a plug) or does the wiring need to be run from somewhere else?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any experience or thoughts.

Lee
