Providing you are more than your minimum contract term, they will send you a PAYG SIM. You must register this to cancel your contract and keep your number. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Yes, but check out his holiday count (modestly added to his post for our pleasure).
Definitely won't be bothered by a few call diversions to cough up for!0 -

Anyone know how long I have to use the remaining minutes? My 12 month contract was up on 30th July but at 3rd Aug they quoted 500 minutes left. I have now cancelled my Direct debit with the Bank. They sent us a SIM card with no explantion of when to put it in but I wondered if I can use those rollover minutes before switching to PAYG. Don't want to end up with some fine or other. You no what Orange are like for being "Helpful" so thought I'd ask you guys on the forum for some great MSE advice!0 -

When you phone up to register the PAYG SIM, you give them your contract number which will then end the contract and the minutes will be lost. If you carry on using your contract SIM, they will continue to charge you for it. Not sure that you should have cancelled your DD until you received your final invoice. Your contract has to be active for you to transfer your number to PAYG. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

If you tell them you want to make it into a pay as u go, they will send you a pay as you go sim and tell you that the contract ends when you register the pay as u go sim.
Call orange for more info0 -
this has been a very useful guys, im gonna have the same problem next month. Phones 4 u website have got some crazy offers going at the moment so if anyone is needing a contract go there. I got another contract two months before my current contract finishes. I got the w610I (which i dont need!) on vodafone with 500 mins 500 text £40 per month with 12 months free line rental redeemable via cashback. This is offer has now gone down to 11 months free now and i forgot about quidco.
I was woundering how much does it cost to divert my calls from my current orange phone to my new vodafone phone. But i will prob wait until my current orange contract expires unless orange have a decent retentions deal0
