I feel for you and your mum because I don't think your LBM has really come yet. Your Mum may think she works for fun but the truth is that she needs to work a lot more and at a job where she can actually pay her debts.
It would be so terrible if she actually lost a lot of her money from her house because of this. I have a friend who has high credit card debt all in her mum's name and her mum is a pensioner - it's really not fair at all.
I hope that you can work things out. Your baby needs you.0 -
We have just calculated the potential savings of moving in with my mum. paying her wages + bills, not even any rent, would be more than our current rent and bills
it costs about £500 a month to commute the 30+ miles on B roads per month. I used to have the exact car I have now as a company car, and that is the cost. Her fuel bill is extortionate. She lives in the middle of nowhere, bless her. She earns £500 a month and wouldn't give up her job anyway. It could work though if we still used childcare in the city we work in and she still went about her own thing. If she could be persuaded to agree, it's certainly an option worth exploring!
If it is a 30 mile commute and your car does 60 mpg, then a rough guess is £100 a month not £500 in fuel0
