Bought an item on Sunday and paid instantly.

Marked as despatched on Monday evening. Received a message from the seller this afternoon asking if it arrived today and if not do i want a refund now?

Why do i get the feeling that they have not sent it? Paid under £10 inc postage. Brand new its £127.99+

did they have a recorded delivery option.

you could always reply and say it hasn't arrived yet and to give it a couple of day and if it doesn't then you will open a case. might prompt them to 'really' post it out

When you get your refund, don't rush to leave feedback, just keep a close eye on the sellers ebay account and see if they relist the item with a higher starting price.
    Then neg them.

They have one negative. Buyer claimed they never sent the item. resolved by ebay.

No recorded option. Just 1st class, No collection option or any other service.

They have not even managed a year yet and a negative thats knocked their % down. Feedback 10 + and one neg.

Postman has been today and it didn't arrive today either.

I will have to trawl ebay and stick more on watch now just in case.

I agree. If an item "didn't arrive", yet the seller refunded, you can leave a negative on this basis, but if the seller appeals it, they will prob win and have the negative removed.

Keep an eye on the seller to see if they magically find another identical item to list.

    On what grounds?

There is no reason a negative will be removed in this instance.

I agree, I'm sure there are many sellers on here who would like eBay to remove poor feedback for items lost in the post!
