AQA successful applicants??

It looks like I'll have to apply for a second time, or rather I will have to apply for a second time
I thought I would be the kind of person they were looking for, but I was wrong. If a Business degree, an HND in Legal Studies, data entry experience and large amounts of spare time aren't of use for something like AQA, what is? They certainly couldn't have failed my application on the grounds of spelling or grammar.
Poor form.
At least that rant has made me feel a little better.True perfection has to be imperfect,
I know that that sounds foolish, but it's true0 -
Bren, hi
Don't (do not) let it get you down; just apply again. With regard to why they fail you, I think sometimes it literally is luck. By that I don't mean luck in the sense of a lottery - as obviously you need to have the basic requirements - but luck in the sense that on another day, another researcher (going over your test), you would have passed.
So, just go for it again. Same goes for anyone else.
Good luck!0 -
Hi NotAnExpert - thanks for your encouraging words.
I have applied twice to get into AQA but shot down both times. I am really, really keen to work for them as I need to find something to do whilst I am at home. Someone has posted today on another thread to say that AQA has told them they have to wait 8 months between applications! At this rate I'd be on my simmer frame before I'd get a job with them if that is the case. I remember reading another thread that said you had to wait 8 weeks between applications but I see that some people just re-apply straight away....are those people using different email addresses etc?Is there also a limit on how many times you apply...should I just give up now? I did find answers to all the questions and most of my answers were 153 words or just less than that.
Does anyone who works for AQA know how long you have to wait between applications? I am a bit disheartened about not getting in, as the last time I tried I really thought I gave it my best shot. I am going to see if I can find a book on Punctuation to improve my game in that department but any other tips would be appreciated.
Sorry to hear you didn't get in Bren_D. Best of luck to you on your second attempt.0 -

I would keep trying until you get told to stop, many people have been accepted on the 3rd/4th attempt.
Be original with your answers and double check the facts within them.
Good luck0 -
Hi BTB1....thanks for that.
Gosh yes I did mean characters not words.
Think I will have another go. I love trivia and would enjoy the job and so this makes me even more keen!
Best of luck to all those that have tried and are still waiting to hear.0 -

I applied same day as 1st refusal - same email address
I got sent exactly the same test - but by a different person0 -
Hi wishicouldaffordit...wow, that gives me a lovely ray of hope!
Did you get in?
I really thought I had tried my best last time, so if I got the same test I don't know I could better it much more, though I would treble check my punctuation.0 -

Am just filling in 2nd application now - don't know if same test again is a blessing or a curse to be honest.0 -
