I have the Fitbit Charge 2, which I got on a new year discount from Littlewoods. It's expensive but at least I can pay for it monthly.
I do like the features - it tracks my steps and my heart rate, tells me how many calories I've burned, how many floors I've climbed and how many minutes of moderate activity I've done. It does track my sleep, but it's very inaccurate. It tracks sleep from when you lie down to when you actually get out of bed, and most nights I'm awake for at least an hour before I drift off.
My favourite thing about it is that every hour it prompts me to take some more steps. The standard recommendation is 250 steps per hour, and my Fitbit even tells me the exact number of steps to take. You can set your own eating, sleeping and exercise goals which is pretty handy too.
Apart from the sleep inaccuracy, I'm impressed with it. I like that Fitbit sends me a weekly email telling me how many calories I've burned, how many steps I've taken etc each week. I wish that the Fitbit app gave you a broad overview of the food groups you've eaten that day rather than just calorie intake (I have to use a different app for that, and it would be useful to have all the info in one place).0 -

I've had a cheap version off ebay for a few months, cost about £7, records steps, distance, calories, has a sleep tracker and tells time. It has an android app that you can connect to via bluetooth (sorry I'm not very technical, hubby does that!) which records data for a week. It lasts a week or so without being charged. The only problem I've had with it is that it has fallen off a couple of times - when I'm taking off my coat for example it gets caught in the sleeve and the fastening just pops open, but other than that for something cheap and cheerful it does what I wanted it to do and counts my steps which encourages me to try and make the 10 000 steps a day!0

Has anybody noticed the FitBit altimeter going bonkers in this weather? Today it has so far recorded 95 flights of stairs when I haven't done nearly that many.0

Been wearing my charge since July 2015, really made me aware of my previous lack of mobility, got a clot in my leg in April 2015, so really see the benefits from it, first charge, the strap came away in May 2016, but was replaced with no fuss by fitbit.0

Hi
I've got a cheap Aldi one. It tracks steps, distance, sleep etc. They were originally £25 but have been reduced to £18 in the stores around me.
I've been considering getting a fitbit but I wasn't convinced if I'd really use it so this is allowing me to try one out to see how much benefit I get from it. If I decide I found like using it I'll treat myself to a fit it

Yes, but not weather related as it was a couple of weeks ago but the first day of me working temporarily in a different location it registered 75 floors where my average is around 20, I was working on the ground floor! Weird.0 -

do you have a link for this, would be interested to try it.
TIALife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0
