Washing Machine Doesn't Spin Final Spin

I know this is a long shot but I didn't know if anyone had any ideas.
If I put a towel in my washing machine, the final spin doesn't spin fast, so I end up with a sopping wet towel.
I think it is due to the weight as it doesn't happen with lighter clothes or if I scrunch the towel out and pop it back in.
Thanks

Could be overloaded weight but i'd be inclined to suggest that it might be the carbon brushes have worn down.
How old is the washing machine?0 -

It sounds as if the machine is becoming unbalanced - one very heavy item thrown around the drum, is likely to do that. The solution would be to wash more items at once (it is more cost effective as well). Silly question, but have you checked the manual?0 -

I've had this problem, mine spins fine if the towel is part of a bigger load but not if I've washed a towel on it's own2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

I have this problem with washing. I had an LG.., it would refuse to spin more often than not, was very sensitive to balance issues.
Much to my relief I have another brand now and it only happens if I put in two fleece throws.., I suspect they absorb a lot of water and get very heavy, causing the machine to refuse to spin. If I do them one at a time, whether in amongst other washing or on their own, it spins.
But I guess its different for each machine. Yours could just not like having a heavy sodden towel to spin. Personally I'd do as suggested and put other items in to balance it out.., but perhaps you've already tried that.
If your brushes were in serious trouble.., your machine would be very noisy as it spins (been there lol).
If you use google, put in your machine model, and won't spin, often that comes up with some pointers.., or try your machine brand.0 -
I agree, it's not a fault with the machine, it's just sensitive to an unbalanced load with one heavy wet towel.0

Thanks
I checked the manual but nothing too obvious as to why it didn't spin.
I'll try it with other things. I was a bit afraid to before as I thought the load would be too heavy for the machine to cope with.0
