Balance Transfer - Ireland to UK

First time poster here!!!
I have been living in the UK for 3 years, moving from Ireland, and plan to be here for the future. I still have a credit card held through an Irish bank with a balance of about €1,000.
I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to transfer this balance to a UK lender/card to avail of a lower rate and just less hassle? I've been looking around the forum and it doesn't seem to be a subject that comes up much so it may be that it can't be done.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Couple of threads below, there doesn't seem to be a way around it unfortunately.

You need a card offering 0% interest on 'money transfers' (as well as traditional 'balance transfers'), ie cash into your current account from where you can pay the Euro card. There's usually a fee payable, circa 2-4%. Take a look at MBNA cards.0
