Hummmmm, typical, i have the pin, but no cards:(, they kept writing me to tell me they had lost the signed application, but sent the pins anyway. Am really peeved as have had loads of opps in the last few weeks when i could have really used the 4% cashback. By the time they send it, they'll be another offer out from someone else!No one said it was gonna be easy!0

Hi, sorry to be a pest but how did you do your 'free online credit checker' and did it take long to do?
Thanks0 -
Capital One are employing quite strict criteria for this card. On their website, it lists five conditions which you should fulfil if you want to have a chance of acceptance. Namely:
1) Already own a credit card with a limit of at least £5k
2) Have had a credit card(s) for at least 5 years
3) Have never missed more than 2 payments on a card/loan
4) Have total credit card balances of less than £10k
5) No previous credit defaults (CCJs, current arrears).
Like some of the above posters I was also turned down for this card and also consider myself to have a good credit history. So I appealed and was successful. I suggest you all do the same if you really want this cardIf I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0 -

Some people report receiving the card ahead of the PIN some (such as myself) after (in my case 4 days including the w/e)
[From 'Rebates':]
"You will receive a rebate of 4% on all purchases.. applied to [the] account [in] the first 3 months of your account opening date"
When I phoned up and activated the card I was told that this meant 'first use' of the card [dubious]. I suggest you check with C1 this specific point since if you make no purchases until you get the PIN they may set the date accordingly. I believe my period runs from the actual date of activation anyway - since I had the PIN and started using it the same day0 -
