Do some people just come on here as a wind up?
No it isn't a wind up! Massively unhelpful response. If you don't have something helpful and constructive to say don't bother!!!
  • Why can't you just get a needle and thread and mend it? It'd be cheap, simple and you'd still have the coat you love.

Because the way it's come away its internal and in order to fix it so it won't break again the lining would need to be unpicked and put back which are beyond my skills. And for a £95 coat I shouldn't have to really

Why not ask a clothes alteration company how much they would charge to repair it and then ask Fatface for that amount.

To me it wasn't silly. Your comment was unhelpful so you should have saved your fingers the trouble ...

    What's a sill question? ;)
  • Anyway....issue resolved! They had a reduced coat in the same size out the back so they refunded the original coat - no question - for the full price then resold me the new coat at the sale price - £55 back. Winner!

Thank you to all those who gave me helpful advice.
  • Hi,

    well done.

Now, check the sleeve stitching before wearing.

I've definitely done this and so did the shop assistant before I left. I was impressed with them I have to say!
