Blue Badge refusal - failure to follow due process

Comments

  • Your on a losing battle to getting nothing.

    DPA protects previous applicants.

Freedom of information will only tell you how many people have been refuse how many appealed and the decision upheld and how many appealed and the decision reversed. it wont tell you what ground to refuse due to conditions etc.

Secondly, your appeal was won on the basis you supplied relevant information regarding the decision making process, you can complain on your grounds that Due process wasn't followed, and its your prerogative to do.

It wont affect the same decisions made to other applicants, only thing to likely come out of it is that changes to the application process are made via internal training, a written apology to you, and thank you for complaining highlighting the issue.

Suck it up and move on or carry on with equalities and due process complaint for your case.

What's an "MD" when it's home?
Managing Director (of the council), at a guess.

The fact councils don't have managing directors is a side issue. Reading don't even have a Chief Exec, having axed the post in 2011 to save costs.

That has to be the quickest I've seen Godwin's Law invoked here.
Nonsense, I have gone directly to the Managing Director

    What's the MD's name?

Apart from an interim reply promising a substantive reply by 24th February, still not a cheep from RBC,

Time for a gentle reminder I think.

I would suggest you are unlikely to get a satisfactory response from the council. If I felt strongly, as you appear to, I would complain to my local councillor.
