Does anyone know of the status of these stores : Glenrothes , Leven , Dunfermline ?

None of them have had sales so I take they are continuing as normal?

hi glenrothes, im in leven. haven't seen any sign of these stores closing, asked staff in leven, they just aren't sure if they're closing or not. its a bit stupid really, the shops only been open 2 years!

I visited both the Cardiff stores that are due for closure today - Ty Glas and Newport Road. Newport Rd had significantly more stock left than Ty Glas and seems to be further away from closing. The discounts seemed to vary between stores and, even within stores, they varied between departments. For example I bought plaster coving from both stores (in order to get the amount I needed). In Ty Glas it was reduced by 50% in the aisle and then by an additional 30% at the till (30% off everythig in store). In Newport Road it was reduced by 40% in the aisle then and additional 20% at the till. However other items in both stores only had the 30% or 20% till discounts applied to the original prices (paint and skirting boards).

There were signs up in Ty Glas to say that from 19th Nov there would be no refunds allowed - but nothing to that effect in Newport Road where I was assured that any item could be refunded with a till receipt.

As an aside, the staff were all fine because their jobs are safe and they will all transfer over to Hombase following the closure. A group of lads at the till were laughing hysterically when I was being served because a disgruntled customer had just approached the security guard and told him that there was no point in him being there because there was nothing left worth nicking... :rotfl:

Went to Cardiff Llanishen and bought a kitchen yesterday 80% off - went to buy one for 60% off and it had come down another 20% in less than 24 hrs.

Cool!

Just one problem - still need one 1000 wall unit in Atlanta. If anyone sees one fairly close to Cardiff, would appreciate letting me know

The MD's of Focus's stuck up, drug riddled, slept with most of the men in the warehouse daughter works where i work, but i'll be damned if i'm askin her !!!!
