Just not sure how long you need to keep them open before you can use them to switch, anyone any idea?
Could I also ask how long people are leaving accounts open before switching. I opened 2 new barclays accounts for my wife and I last weekend and we have received the debit cards today. I was thinking of putting a couple of hundred pounds in each and then switch to Halifax in a couple of weeks - does this sound ok or do the accounts need to be maintained longer (maybe with DDs added) before switching.
