Are Sky allowed to do this?

Hi, I have just got off live chat from an adviser and am looking for some advice from people on the site.
My Sky broadband and TV contracts are due to end at the start of March so I had been shopping around for deals on Fibre broadband. Having seen a Talk talk offer I went on live chat with Sky and asked for my Mac code and when asked why entered a negotiation on upgrading with Sky instead.
All went well and I got discounts on the Fibre and Line rental which has been activated from today. I today went on live chat as I am entitled to give notice on the TV and have no interest in renewing this. After going through endless questions to try and keep me paying for the TV the adviser states to my surprise that ending my TV will terminate the line rental discount as it is tied into the TV package.
This was not communicated to me AT ALL in the chat regarding the deal (I have checked the transcript) and is also not in any of the order emails for the fibre broadband. Considering this and the fact I am out of contract on the TV are Sky allowed to do this? If so, how? Would this not fall under misselling a product?
The adviser is supposed to be calling me tomorrow to discuss further but any help and advice before then would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You get a discount on your Broadband and Phone when you take TV as well. No TV no discount. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

The terms you agreed to when you took sky cover the deal you had just taken out. You were given a booklet of t&c's when you joined sky. As they had already supplied you with the terms of your contract they shouldn't have needed to tell you again unless you asked.0

Think you may have a point. I recently renewed my Broadband and Line Rental for 12 months and and asked if this tied my tv contract for another year (although I have no intention of cancelling) and was told they were separate. The T&C's they sent me by email would appear to confirm this.Separate minimum terms apply to each of your Sky TV, Sky+, Sky HD, Multiscreen, Broadband and Talk services. The length of the minimum terms is as agreed when you ordered your services .
As I already have a tv contract which is past the minimum term I would expect to be able to cancel this if I wanted. I would also expect to pay an extra £5 a month for broadband because I would no longer have a tv contract and there is a discount for having both.0 -

There is only a £2.50 discount for tv. The £5 discount is for having the line rental, so £7.50 for having both.
Perhaps the OP would only lose this £2.50, as one can't expect a discount for having a service that one is no longer taking .0 -
When you sign up to a new Contract, don't you have 14 days to Cancel,if you are Not Happy.?0
