Tomtontom and blindman
Yet it didn't come up with that anywhere or on the review if that is the case?0 -
Blindman how would I go about getting a screenshot from the review I submitted last night? All I've done today is reselected the options I choose last night to follow the steps I took- I'm assuming priceline will wan't the original screenshot? I will definitely look over all your advice for future use but for now I just want to see if anything can be done before we go! I'm very excited to see Berlin but a little saddened at the situation we've got in to with PL!!!!0

Blindman- I mean when I put it through before it accepted the bid 3* definitely was not selected.0

Did it come up like that after you had rebid (adding a new area after an unsuccessful bid), or just when you put them all in as an initial bid? I've been assuming you kept adding new areas - did you put them all in on your first bid?0

The problem as I see it is that it's your word against PL's
The computer may have thrown a wobbly but I've no idea how you can prove it to PL.
With any call centre if you are not getting any joy then HUARA (hang up and ring again).
However as time is tight I personally do not think you will get anywhere and only get stressed out before you go on your anniversary weekend
Side note:
Our 38th  anniversary is on the 5th Feb and we're going to Southend for the weekend
You could go down the route and ask then to provide logs of web transactions from your PC to their sites at the time of bidding-But that would take tim\they probably wouldn't accept that and so on.
The other option is to ask if you can rebid-just on the 5* option and if you win they cancel the 3* one.
Other than that I can't think of anything else.0 -
We added a couple more areas which I believe were Bohemian and Alexanderplatz but we did check the review again to see it was definitely 4*
I feel so stressed by all this it's not a great start to a holiday the stress of trying to sort this out.0 -

Then that's what you need to replicate - adding each one in turn. I tried (using ridiculously low bids) and it added the 3* category with Kreuzberg.0 -
blindman- Southend is lovely still! I'm happy just to be moved to the next one they have in the price range- I will put a bit of money towards it even just to get it sorted!! We don't definitely need a refund just a switch to another hotel will do for now and then that restores faith in the company. At the moment I never want to go near them again!!
It's very tight and we probably won't get anything out of it but I do hate bad customer service and no willingness to help!0 -
With all due respect (and I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear!), I think expecting to pay £55 per night for a 4/5* hotel in Berlin is slightly optimistic. I do appreciate that you want things to be wonderful on your anniversary, but if you truly want something to be amazing then unfortunately you have to spend the money to do so!
It doesn't seem as though Priceline are going to budge and I can completely understand how frustrating it must be to "lose out" to a glitch or computer error but as others have said - you have managed to get a 3* with good reviews for a decent price! Berlin is also one of my most favourite cities and you will have a fantastic time - just make sure this experience doesn't ruin your time there.
We stayed in a 3 star hotel called The Circus in Berlin and it was absolutely amazing. In fact, we've stayed in a few 3 stars while in Germany and not once have we been disappointed!0
