Parcel2go.com. DREADFUL!

I just wanted to let you know of my experience of Parcel2go.com. I booked a home collection with Hermes through Parcel2go.com. The parcel wasn't collected. When I told them this they rearranged collection for the following day. Again no show. So they arranged another collection and yet another label was printed. But yet again no collection. I hold Parcel2go.com responsible and am appalled by this terrible service. As I heard of the company through Moneysavingexpert.com I suggest they avoid advertising this company again.

I have used parcel2go a lot, never had a problem. I sent 2 parcels to U.S.A. last winter, both were collected on day and arrived less than 48 hrs after collection. Took longer to deliver U.K. parcels normally 3 days.
Do I need it or just want it.

I used parcel2go once. I had a large parcel costing £13.50 to send so the £10 off offer was good. No problems, parcel was collected as arranged and arrived on time so I was happy. Sorry to hear it wasn't so good for you.

I heard about them through MSE offer and when I read comments, it was mixed. Some had great experience some had really bad like you.

I didn't use them on that occasion but a bit hit and miss I think.
    ally.
  • I've used then for at least one parcel a week for years. I only have had issues with Hermes, now I always choose to use ups and it's never been a problem since.
When I had problems with Hermes in the past, parcels2go customer service were very helpful but did admit Hermes can be a problem and that ups are never a problem.

You can't blame the entire company due to the actions of a single courier. All Hermes couriers are self-employed and as such organise their rounds to suit themselves. Some couriers only collect C2Cs on specific days of the week, usually when in the area making other deliveries as they only get paid 45p per parcel. And in any case they have 3 working days within which to collect. It doesn't have to be same day.

Why on earth do you blame P2G when they are just a broker who you choose to book through either for convenience or to save some money?
If you had booked the same item direct with Hermes how would it have been any different?

But it's the company itself that chooses to organise itself and operate in that manner. As such they have to take responsibility for the quality of the couriers they use.

Yes, and the company is Hermes NOT P2G !

Exactly, Thumbremote loves blaming companies so much that details like this get swept under the carpet as blaming a company for something (whether their fault or not) is apparently much more important.
