Moving the thick electrical cable that comes into house

    If it were my house, the floor wooden and the incoming cable visible in good condition, id be tempted to lift some boards and ease the cable back against the wall whilst wearing my electrically insulated gloves of course.

    This is what i was going to say but use a piece of wood to gently push the cable instead of your hands. job done. if it lays under the wooden floor it will be quite loose and easy to move. This will only work if the sub floor is wood and the incoming cable lays on the concrete floor under the wooden

    Hi Britishboy, I found out my paperwork and we paid £85.20 to have ours moved, they were easy to deal with we had to just emailed pictures and plans of what we wanted and the guys that came out were great. We are with sse, maybe price depends on your power distribution company! Hope that helps
