If you refund in full via paypal, you'll still get a defectcharlies_mum wrote: »The problem is that if you refund in full, you will receive a defect.
The way to refund in full would be to send the payment to your buyer through Paypal. You will lose your FVF but will avoid a defect
I had a chap who paid by paypal for something he collected. When he collected, I was out, and the buyer forgot, so paid again. I got the defect unwound, but it's automatic if you do a full refund.
I think the only defect free way is to go through the 'buyer agreed to cancel the transaction', which it does not sound like she'll agree toSo many glitches, so little time...0 -

I recommended using the Cancel order option, and selecting the second option which reads: 'the buyer asked to cancel or there is a problem with the buyers address'
The buyer will have no choice in the matter. They will also be no defect.
Personally I'd refund minus the postage, and I think that people who order when they have no means to actually receive their orders might think twice if it started to cost them.0 -
You won't get a defect if you send to their email address and say it is a payment for family or friends.Dave_the_Ginger_Cat wrote: »If you refund in full via paypal, you'll still get a defect

There is a thread on the Powerseller boards saying that eBay are now refusing to cancel defects in almost all cases, so I will do whatever I can to avoid them. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever
