Biore Warming Anti Blackhead Cleanser 100ml - WMBA but not full price. Picked this up yonks ago for 25p in my local sainsburys. Was pretty good but worked best as a weekly scrub for me. Was one of very few "heating" products I have used which actually worked.

Finished last month without having made any purchases… then this month came along and I was very naughty

YSL black opium 90ml - don't ask me why. I have too many perfumes as it is and one bottle of this already on the go… was on offer, but then again, when isn't it!

Illamasqua set with brow gel, cream eyeliner and eyeliner. Couldn't say no when it was £13.50 for the set. All will be used… eventually!


Hoping that I'll avoid any further purchases this month and have lots of UUs...

Can I ask where you got the Illamasqua set please?

Following the gorgeous nail art set, I had two other NBI's to review, a gel nail curing lamp (misread the description on this one when I ordered the freebie) and a fan nail dryer which is what I thought the first one was.
It looks as if my review on the nail art set was generally helpful, thank you if it caught your eye.
There will be another NBI arriving direct from Am@zon.
I was offered Aussie Macadamia Nut Shower Smoothie to review. The item the review will link to will be a pack of 6, but normally we are only sent 1 item to review from multipacks (though not always).
Anyway, that will be me okay for shower stuff for a further while when it arrives.
I've also been offered some bizarre lingerie, passing on that one.

Rituals Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel 50ml - this is really nice, WMBA. The more I try from this brand the more I like it but I do find it hard to find in shops, M&S do it but only a small range.

Liz Earle Gentle Exfoliater - really liked this, it is very gentle and has a lovely eucalyptus smell. Have another in the stash.

Hi ladies,

My other swap arrived yesterday and my swapped item was received (was via a fb beauty swap/sale page (not ours) and I was a little apprehensive as to how it would go).

So another OUT in the form of a 300ml bottle of Elemis Nourishing Shower Cream. Did put some sample sachets in too but I don't count these in my stash.

I got another LG blusher in return which is very bright and I had to be so careful how I applied it this morning but am pleased with it so will have to ensure I go gingerly with it.

Does anyone here own a Veet Wax Roll On? I was in Sainsbury's last night and on the clearance shelf they had the refills, strips and wipes reduced to £1.00 and 50p (wipes) each. I bought a refill and 2 packs each of the strips and wipes as the refills are usually £10.00 each. I don't own the Roll On machine though - I know this is a flaw in the plan but my thinking was that if I don't get one MrM can return the items unused to Sainsburys. However, I have now convinced myself that having one of these will be the next best thing to sliced bread as I do like waxing but never manage to get the wax to the right temperature. So am shopping around for one.

COLAB Dry Shampoo Rio 200ml: I love these dry shampoos! They don't make your hair feel powdery or have the grey look and they smell amazing! WDBA although I have the New York one in my stash!

DH is going away on business to the US and has asked me if I want anything brought back so I might have a few INs next week!

I am one of Amazon's Vine Voices, a band of approx 800 reviewers, we get sent free stuff to review by Amazon. I'm one of their top 150 reviewers, (No 128 at present) and in 2008 I was asked if I would like to become a Vine Voice, it's by Amazon's invitation only.
It's the reviews that are key to getting the invite, but none of us reviewers have any real idea why we caught Amazon's eye, other than posting reviews that Amazon seemed to like as well as the public.
To start with Amazon offered mostly books, but gradually beauty items, kitchen items and other things came on offer. There are conditions with being a Vine Voice. We are not allowed to dispose of items we are offered - we can't give them away to friends or family and certainly not sell them. Books we no longer need must go in the recycling, not to charity shops. Many books are publishers' proof copies anyway.

Last year one of the other reviewers mentioned in a forum how manufacturers sent him stuff directly to review on Amazon, as he had an email address on his profile, so I tried it. That was how the nail stuff was offered. I don't accept everything I'm offered - though I could sell these items if I wanted to, that wouldn't make my review an honest one. I have given a lot away though.

Amazon have just offered me a Philips Ladyshave which is nicely exciting! I had a go at lasering last year and it didn't go as well as I had hoped, so it's back to these. I had a Ladyshave years ago and have a Remington but the foils are wearing out.

At the risk of completely embarrassing myself but having been lurking for a while I've decided it's probably time I stopped buying unnecessary products and joining in on this thread, if you will have me!

I've spent this afternoon writing down the damage and I am shocked at how much I have squirrelled away over the last few years. Some things I've bought myself, some are gift set items, some are essentials. Others I've bought not realising I already had stuff stashed away. I'm hoping this list will help to keep my spending and my stash in check!!! Some of the older body lotions no longer smell nice (Paris Hilton, boots aromatherapy and natural collection) but I'm planning on using them up by using them on my feet overnight instead. Seems a waste to chuck them. Quite a few of the shower gels are minis which are good as I get bored easily! And I like to use products that match so the same or similar scent bath bubbles/ body wash / body lotion at the same time for example. My biggest obsession currently though is with bath bombs I can't stop buying lush or bomb cosmetics. And of course I went mad in the Christmas sales. I have so many I can't even count but they fill two cardboard boxes. May have to be brave and count them at some point.
