Love your bath bomb list. Very jealous. Have been given a little kit of Bomb Costmetics bath bombs and soaps today as belated birthday gift.
Another IN: have bought a pack of the Vidal Sassoon hair colour. Mine needs colouring again!! Still cheaper than having it done at the salon though.
Gemzie, can only tell you what I have heard recommended for acne. Not heard of any testimonials that it works though so please don't take this as advice:-
Have heard that treating excess oil with oil helps ie washing with an oil based cleanser. Read in the Paleo diet book that dairy products are bad for acne. A few weeks ago I went into Holland & Barrett to get some Detox teabags for my daughter Emma to help her skin on her chin clear and the SA recommended zinc for acne. Let us know how you get on. Emma's cleared well whilst on the Detox programme but has come back. I do think that part of the problem with her though is the foundation she uses. We got her some Bare Minerals for Christmas to stop her using a liquid foundation and she is now UUing up the NARS liquid one that she used and getting used to the Bare Minerals (only because I've told her I'm not buying any more liquid foundation for her).Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I've just had a look and they're actually 50ml, thought they were 100! I've no idea really, I have very dry skin so 2 legs and 2 arms plus tummy and the behind I don't have much left in the bottle after about 2 days!0 -
Also can anyone recommend products that might tame my unruly skin? You all seem clued up on skin products :-) I've had acne from my teenage years and I'm now 24 and still suffering. It's got especially bad recently as my stress levels have rocketed with my parents splitting up and to top it off a disagreement with a friend who meant a lot to me (and still does). I am literally pizza face :-( gp put me on a pill called co- cyprindiol which I've been on for ages. Whenever I ask about my skin she just says to keep taking the prescribed pills but I'm seeing no improvement :-/ my skin care regime consists of using a simple facial wash followed by simple light moisturiser and an eye cream at night. I've no idea what toners etc do as I don't have a clue about skincare! I've tried blemish sticks and various spot treatment gels etc I either react to them and my skin gets worse or they don't work. Simple products don't seem to do any damage but I think I need something a bit stronger to tackle my bad skin. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
I have found Tea Tree helpful - Body Shop has a good range. Also Holland&Barrett staff is helpful and they might be able to offer something suitable if you go in to store.
Cod Liver oil / Fish oil - helps me maintain my skin.
Stress is important and difficult to eliminate though, perhaps try some stress reducing things like yoga.ally.0 -

Fiasco - argh to the bathroom drama, how awful! You must be so fed up and I can completely empathise with you, my bathroom refurb took over a month in total (instead of two weeks!) thanks to several mishaps - wrong toilet, walls not plastered evenly enough for the tiler's liking, not enough floor tiles... - but was completely worth it in the end. I still adore it every time I walk in, and all the hassle was worth it. Hopefully yours will be too - hope it's sorted soon!I haven't tried them. I seem to remember Vaseline tins being had to open until they changed the design too.
Fiasco - hope you get your bathroom sorted quickly.
Willowbee - everytime I see a review about Kerastase people seem a bit meh, for the price they should be raving. I've never tried anything from them and haven't been tempted.
Thanks ladies. Work is restarting tomorrow and will be done (so they tell me) by Tuesday. Nightmare!

Some UU to report (not sure I'm going to make that target I set to have a UU every other day in the month)
Dr Perricone's no foundation foundation. I love this, and WMB, although it's quite pricey. Have another one in the stash.
Sample size Idylle by Guerlain perfume. Really liked this as well. I get bored quickly with perfumes though, so WNB, probably.

Good evening, after some tips please
I got a new phone last week and been taking selfies (I know) but quite aghast with the expression lines on my face, especially bags under my eyes .
I'm in my 30s and using Aldi under eye serum and Olay facial serum night and morning, also moisturiser with SPF and a night moisturiser.
I find the bags look worse if I genuinely smileso trying to work out how to smile without closing my eyes
anyone have any tips or advice on products I can try.

I usually just read, not post, but I wanted to say to Gemzie that my DD has problems with acne too. She takes meds for 3 months then has a month off. If she eats chocolate, she will have a break out within hours, so what you eat really does make a difference.
Could you see a different doctor and ask about your meds?2025 Fashion on the ration

Gemzie - I'm sorry to hear that things are difficult for you at the moment. Lots of great advice about things that may help with your acne. I have two suggestions, for what it's worth. The first is that it may be worth you trying a month without cows milk. Ruth Crilly (her excellent blog is A Model Recommends) found that her skin cleared up once she gave up milk. It's relatively easy to try
(Here are links to her very thoughtful posts. The first has a lot of interesting reader comments as well:

http://www.amodelrecommends.com/2013/05/11/how-i-got-rid-of-my-adult-acne
My second suggestion is rosehip oil. I agree with everyone that said to treat your skin very gently. I found rosehip oil to very healing and it doesn't have to be expensive. I also found camellia oil (especially good for scarring) and grapeseed oil good as they're very light and (for me) help reduce oil production but rosehip is the one that I always return to.
I also think that it's worth returning to your Doctor and seeing if there are any better alternatives for you.
Best of luck. Xx0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is well
Hugs good wishes and positive vibes to all who need them
Forgot to log I UU a lush bathbomb over the weekend and the small spluttering hand cream tube has finally gone.
Started using a vit E hand cream near the door and I think that is already DHs holy grail of hand creams, every time he used it he comments on how good it is and how little he needs! Trust me he's NOT a toiletries person so it must be good!SPC~12 ot 124
