No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries February 2015

A couple of unexpected UUs this afternoon:

The Body Shop Raspberry Heart Soap: Lovely scent and seemed to be slower at dissolving than the other seasonal soaps I've tried from them - WMBA.
Random Hotel Soap from Honeymoon.
L'occitane Shea Butter Ultra Gentle Moisturiser 10ml: This was a free sample; I don't like the scent at all but it is very moisturising - WNBA.

Hotel chocolat te jardin body lotion - wouldn't go out my way to buy this but it was ok. Nice texture, but very strong smell.

GA Aussie colour protect/shine serum - have tried this on so many occasions but every time it just sends my hair greasy. Can't get on with Aussie hair products, its ashame as everyone else seems to love them!
Also GA a calvin klein lipstick, it's rather drying but i've got quite dry lips anyway so doesn't help and a burst bees lip shimmer in guava which i've hardly ever worn as it's abit too 'shimmery' and silvery for my taste.

But on the plus side i'm really getting down my stash and this thread has helped me no end so thank you everyone...love coming on here to read your posts:beer:
I'm getting to the point mostly where i'm just buying things i know i love and will use straight away which for me is a minor miracle!

These hand sanitizers are on my daughter's shopping list for when we go to the US later this year. I've smelt them and they are lovely. Hope you get them at a good price.

Small tube of Elemis Neck and Bust cream. I love this product but have only ever had it in the small tubes. I just couldn't justify buying a full sized though. On the look out for a good neck cream and thinking of trying the Flora Mare one on QVC. Any recommendations folks?

Morning ladies! Thanks for all the kind birthday wishes - had a wonderful birthday weekend in Tallinn

I have some UUs from my weekend to report:

2/22. Bliss Lemon & Sage Body Butter 50ml - this was a freebie and probably WNB, loved the texture but not a fan of lemon-scented toiletries in general as they remind me of bathroom cleaner!

3/23. Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Body Wash 30ml - GWP and probably WNB though I do love this - just too pricey for a buy-myself shower gel.


4/24. Clinique Clarifying Lotion #3 60ml - WBA but going to try the LE toner first. I'm actually going to try to manage the month without it and see how my skin fares on just double-cleansing.


5/25. La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra 2ml - freebie and WNB, this was nice but I don't really have sensitive/problem skin and too hard to tell the results from such a small sample.


6/26. L'Occitane Verbena Shampoo 30ml - freebie and WNB, nice enough but other cheaper ones I prefer.

but also some INs in the form of hotel freebies and well-chosen pressies from my DH:

Ooh, and a make-up TA:


1/1. Pout Plump Lash Blackest of Black Mascara 6ml - I used this for a couple of months but it really dried up and the brush went funny (very soft bristles). It just wasn't getting results, shame as it started out good. Serves me right for hoarding it all these years.

VALM - I lost a lot of weight last year and to help my skin I mixed Clarins Tonic Body Oil in with my normal body lotion, it was lovely to use and seemed to work well.

I did have another uu at the weekend

Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara - this is a very wet mascara which takes a while to dry so I had to be careful with it, I had been using it everyday for 3 months and it had started to get blobs in it when I applied, it hadn't dried out at all and I never pump the wand but there were blobs on my lashes and I don't like the clumpy look. Other than that it is excellent, no smudging or flaking.

Glad you had a lovely weekend away. Not that I'm trying to enable or anything but please see link to QVC for a set of full size Philosophy shower gels similar to your set above.
