On that subject, have you written your letter yet? Or perhaps you've printed the request form instead, completed it, enclosed a cheque/postal order*, and posted it?can you read properly?
Or perhaps you're saying they'll reply saying "get stuffed, send us another £1.50 or we won't send it...even though we're legally bound to do so for £2".
* Could be difficult on a Sunday, but at least you'll be good to go first thing Monday morning.0 -
The form is here http://www.equifax.co.uk/efx_pdf/CreditReportApplicationForm.pdf
send it off with £2 and you will receive your report within 7 days.0 -
It's always worth a try at the negative publicity angle if they are difficult - try via facebook or twitter first and if they ignore that, write to one of the papers that does consumer issues (Observer and Telegraph I think do) and some bad publicity from the paper often speeds up matters
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
