Today I spent £2.20 on lunch (bit of a pattern developing here  ). I also wrote a cheque for £12 for 2 copies of ds school play on dvd ... thought I'd better get ex a copy too

Ds got a cheque for £15 for christmas from an aunt through the post today which will go straight into his account :D The Ice Age double pack dvds also arrived today, as well as the starry poster I ordered for my nephews birthday and a free smaple of those tampax with skirts ???

Another fairly easy day at work today, counting down the days now ... only 6 more working days to go :j :j :j

Evening all !!! Its the weekend again, yay !!!!

Ds has gone to his dads for the weekend, so I thought I'd come home, get out all my xmas presents, see what I still need to get and nip off to the shops tonight so I don't have to face it on saturday.
Well, having gone through the mountain of presents under my bed, I am pleased to say I think I can get away without hitting the main shopping centre !!! I'm well chuffed as my sister called to say the traffic is horrendous already  I do still have bits to get, but I reckon I can get most of it in tesco ... I need sweeties for the sweetie boxes and stuff like that rather than main presents ;)
So, I can have a quieter evening after all :D I might catch up with stuff on here and then go to Tesco later on this evening. Then tomorrow I can have a wrapping up and delivering kinda day :D
So far today I have spent £2.50 on food.

I have just checked my paypal account and I have £7 in there which has built up from lightspeed surveys so I have transferred it into my account and this will start off 2008's mortgage fund  Then again, I may need it to sort out my accounts before the start of the new year as I hate any account being overdrawn at the start if a new year. Last night I also found a OnePoll account I'd forgotten I'd got. Its got £4 in it at the moment, which isn't huge because it doesn't pay out till £40  but hey its a start!! :D

Hey benben, how are you doing? just had a little catch up of the last page and wanted to say, I sit here on MSE with lots of work to do, but can't get the motivation to press alt and tab back across to my work data. I then read your diary and this gal is put to shame!!! you manage to get the motivation to do so much, thanks for being a kick up the swifty when i need it.

Glad you enjoyed DS's pay and i hope ex gives you the £6 back for his copy!! ;-)

Have a great evening and hit tesco if you can, evening/late night/ 1 0'clock in the morning is the ONLY time to go to tesco if you don't want a trolley in your ribs i find!

    Take care

  • Hi Benben
Hope you have a productive weekend whilst Ds is with his dad, I am finding it really frustrating being stuck at home (after my op) when what i would love to be doing is mooching around the xmas stuff in the shops. I'm sorted for this year but plotting now for 2008:rotfl: ,still got stuff in my pressie stash so need to see if I can allocate anything to birthdays etc. I am driving OH nuts on about hampers for next year, and how to accumulate piggy points etc to pay for them. Just don't understand why he doesn't think it is fun:confused: :rotfl: :rotfl: .
    How's the AQA'ing going?
See you have changed your sig, good luck with the overpayments for 2008,you have achieved so much this year, I think you will have been an inspiration to lots of people especially single working mums:T :T :T .
    take care

PS I am having a terramundi for xmas:D :D:D but can't decide what to save in it yet, already got £2 savings and silver piggy:rolleyes: Its so lovely I can't stand the thought of breaking it when it's full:eek: . Any suggestions, perhaps I should go for £5 notes, although I don't seem to get many these days:confused:

Thankyou Sophiesmum  I too have loads of bits left over in my pressie box, I really must figure out who is going to be given them, or whether some of the bits should be put on ebay  :D I have been trying to figure out how much I need for presents in total next year. So far, not including ds, I reckon on about £600 for all birthdays and christmas (+ mothers/fathers day) I know this sounds a lot but it really isn't once its all broken down. This is about the same as this year too. There is always one month a year where you get 2 payments from tax credits / child benefit (january) and I will put the 2nd payment of each into the present fund, which should be about £320. I won't have 2 months off the council tax payments this year though because of when I moved house, so I will still need to find approx £300 for presents   ... I do however still have vouchers left over from this year so they will be chucked into the pot too. At the moment I have approx £160 in this years present fund and £70 John Lewis vouchers, £40 theatre vouchers and £50 bonusbonds (vouchers that can be spent in loads of different shops). I do still need to spend about £80 for this christmas though (most to be done online tonight ;) ), but hopefully I will still have a fair chunk leftover to chuck into next years pot ;):D
As for my terramundi, I am chucking in all £2 coins and then each month I am budgeting a certain amount for "living on" and any leftover from this gets chucked in the terramundi too.

 benben wish you could wave your magic wand at me ! My trouble is I'm not computer literate ( I know excuses excuses !) I ordered a book called 'How to do just about anything on a computer' off Amazon and managed to order the wrong one ! Vista instead of XP :rotfl:
