Obviously you will but keep an eye on that and trust your instincts. My ds had a similar friend and I wish now I had either changed schools or been more forceful because looking back on it although I did everything I 'thought' I could I wasn't forceful enough and this child knocked my sons confidence for a long time
Don't want to over dramatise things for you, just reminding you to trust your parental instincts as I think sometimes we underestimate them and think teacher knows best but we know our children better :A
And I've just thought too if this 'friend' hurt your son has he been reprimanded as your son is? If not then surely this will give your son mixed messages.0 -
I will speak to the teacher tomorrow as it always seems to happen at playtime and no-one ever sees it :rolleyes:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Yes thats typical and because your son is not being manipulative with it he gets himself in trouble which tells you something. If the teacher is aware he does not usually cry then she must realise that something had happened.
Not easy is it but I hope you get things sorted.

Thankyou KM, he only ever cries in front of me, if he falls over he will hide it until I get there and then will cry, he says he's a big boy now so he shouldn't cry   so something must have really upset him for him to cry
His teacher said she thought he was crying because someone else had been and he was copying them

Well I hope his teacher next year has more intuition and common sense! Will he be with the 'friend' again next year? Maybe it would be a good idea to invite this boy over for tea so you can gauge how they play/interact with each other? Just a thought x0

His friend will be with him, I did ask about that and they said they split the classes at the end of this year so hopefully then he may be changed. The friend has been round for tea and he has some learning needs which is why I think he struggles forming proper friendships
but he is quite a dominant kid and my ds is easily pushed around
Having said that though, my ds worships him most of the time
My quidco car insurance has tracked overnight (60.00) and also another one I was looking at has tracked but I'm sure it will be declined as I didn't actually buy it
We've got lots of firemen and policemen coming in to school today to talk to the kids and do rides in their engine etc, so I must be off to do my hair and make upMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Good luck trying to sort that situation out, BBaM.....:T
DS2 has been bullied at school recently by a boy who he once considered his best friend. They used to live four doors apart until DS2 moved away with his mum. The awkward thing was that they are in the same class at school, played together at breaktimes, are in the same football team and attend the same football training three times a week.
DS2's mum went to see his teacher who was unaware of the bullying as it was happening mainly at dinnertime when the lunchtime assistants were on duty. They're keeping an eye on it till the end of term when a decision will be made. I'll be honest, I'd like DS2 moved to the other class but the school's policy on twins is to separate them so unless they put DS3 back into the "bully's" class, separation would be the best bet IMO.
Good on you for not accepting things as they are and fighting for little B....:T0 -
Hiya BB,
You have an ING direct bank account don't you? I'm thinking of opening one for the remainder of my house sale profits, or not sure whether to stick some in an ISA (I'm not very good at all this money stuff!) - but I liked the sound of the ING account with the little 'pots' so I'd know exactly what I've saved and what for. Or are there any other accounts with the same idea?
I was going to change current accounts, but have just upgraded my Lloyds classic to classic plus, with 6% interest so will stick with that. Just thought a decent savings account a good idea-seeing as I have savings now.
I probably should chuck more at the loan I have with Lloyds, but I can't bring myslef at the mo to spend every last penny of the house sale on debt - I'm going to aim to make money to throw at the loan each month - or is that silly?!
:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I'm no expert Milly, so check out the savings board and ask for their advice too
Do you have any savings already? If not I reckon an isa is a good way to go. What % is your Lloyds loan? If its high then it may make sense to chuck it there although I understand what you're saying about all your house money going there
Personally I like having some in an isa and then that is real emergency money, and I leave it there and let the interest buildI do have an ING account, I love it for the separate little pots but its not the best for interest anymore

Hiya,
Thanks for that, I'll have a little think. I know I should chuck more at the loan - the interest is more than the savings account, can't remember exactly what it is. I just don't want to have no savings at all. I can't quite bring myself to spend all my money from the house sale on cards/loans. my original plan was to pay off credit card-mostly done, just stuck £1k on a 0% card to pay off, and to buy a car. But I've decided the Corsa I have for now does the job; it's not particularly stylish and a rubbish orange, but hey it works and still has 7months on the MOT so may as well hang onto it. I never drive further than an hour trip to Weston Super Mare to see my Mum and sister!!
Shame the ING account isn't on Quidco, that would decide it for me!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0
