Yesterday was a horrible horrible day ...
Ds went to the party, he was soooo excited ... an hour into it I got a phone call asking me to collect him as he had bitten another child  I went back and it was mortyfing, there were loads of other parents there all looking at me, I had to try sooo hard not to cry in front of them all; the poor kid he bit had a horrible mark and I just felt awful, I cried all the way homeI unplugged the tv so he couldn't have that all day and I took away his trains (which he plays with all the time). He was very subdued for the rest of the day but I just felt sick
I took him round to the little boys house and made him apologise to him and his parents, it was horrible
Then my best mate who bumped her head a few weeks ago called to say she'd had her appointment with the neurologist and the scans had shown up that she has a brain tumourApparently it is benign which is good news and it has been there for between 5-15 years already and that is pushing on the brain which is why its taken her so long to recover from the fall. She has to have an op to remove it and is off work for at least the next 3 months
Ds is spending today with his dad and I am going to see said friend above
Last night I switched the computer off, had a bottle of wine then went to bedHoping today will be a happier day

Oh honey - huge hugs to you sweetie, what a lot to deal with. I really hope you do have a better day. You are doing everything you can do and no matter how low you feel you are a wonderful mum - it shines through. Ignore other parents looks - you'd think their children were all angels for goodness sake, no! Sophia wound William up so much yesterday that he had a tantrum, then he hit her so she shoved him off the sofa onto his head - children do things impulsively and it sounds like you showed him immediately that it was unacceptable and he realised this.
I'm blathering on.
What I really mean is massive hugs for you,ds and your friend - how worrying. Tank goodness it's benign and she can now start to recover. When is her op going to be? Does she live near? Have family to help look after her? Kids?

Thanks Sea
My friend lives about a mile away from me, shes staying with her parents though till her op as she needs someone with her incase she has a seizure  They live about 20 minutes away. She doesn't have a partner or kids but she has a great circle of friends who will all look after her

:grouphug: Aww Benben so sorry you are upset about your son and your friend. Can't say anything except to echo what Sea said and send you a dodgy hug. XX ElNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
